Children Ministry - Sunday School and Worship

Children are gifts from God. The purpose of our Children Ministry is to see that children are loved, valued, and nurtured in their faith as they become followers of Jesus Christ. We will accomplish this by providing the best possible care, comfort, guidance, and instruction in the Word of God for children, and assist parents and children's leaders to accomplish the same.
Children's Ministry committed to partnering with parents in the cultivation of an unshakable faith in their children that will withstand the world's pressures and produce fruit in their lives that leads to further multiplication.

Children's Ministry - Awana
|
What is AWANA?
AWANA is an international, nondenominational, Bible-centered youth organization providing weekly clubs and programs for 2 years olds through high schoolers. The acronym AWANA comes from the first letters of phrase “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” (cf. 2 Timonthy 2:15)
At Fort Bend Community Church, AWANA is conducted for 2 year old through fifth graders. Youth participation in AWANA is encouraged through serving as Leaders-In-Training or Youth Helpers.
Why AWANA?
AWANA exists to reach children and youth with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. The priorities of AWANA also include reaching parents and other family members with gospel and training adults and youth to minister to children.

Love & Care Children Ministry
|
|
The Love & Care Ministry at FBCC is specially designed for those children with special needs. The main service the Ministry currently offered is a Sunday school program where children with special needs have a separate classroom to play and learn in a safe and interactive environment. The Ministry opened on October 8, 2006 and currently has 5 students with 8 regular teachers and assistants.

| The Love & Care Ministry is dedicated to serving children with special needs and their families. We consider it a privilege and a direct call from God to reach out to those who are differently-abled, and believe that it represents the very heart of God. We strive to provide services that will help strengthen families, give hope, and touch lives with the love of God. |
Love & Care Sunday School |
| For children with special needs, the Love & Care Ministry offers a three-hour high quality, accessible and integrated program where children have an opportunity to learn and play in a safe and interactive environment. |

| Session 1: |
9:30 AM – 10:45 AM (game, crafting, computer, etc.) |

11:00 AM – 12:20 Noon (Bible teaching, singing, story, etc.) |

Program: The three-hour program will include story time, crafts, worship, singing, playing, and snack time. We are planning to use the Hands-on bible Curriculum, developed by Group Publishing (www.group.com), as our Sunday school curriculum. |

Since different children may have different needs, we are planning to make the program to be flexible and to fit the special needs of our children.
